Pricing

Clear starting prices. Written scope before major work.

Bench & Order publishes useful starting prices for Frederick, Maryland small businesses so you can decide whether a service fits your budget before beginning. Residential Windows PC service is also available by appointment. Larger projects receive a written scope and price before substantial work starts.

Parts, hosting, paid software, hardware, extensive data preparation, and third-party fees are separate unless specifically included. For a plain-language overview of what I work on, see services. For diagnostics, authorization, and recovery limits, see service policies.

How estimates, parts, and changes work

Written scope

Larger projects receive a written description of the work, price, assumptions, and exclusions before substantial work begins.

Parts and third-party costs

Customers generally purchase or approve hardware, hosting, licenses, plugins, subscriptions, and other third-party costs separately.

Diagnostic and assessment credits

Credits apply only where specifically listed and must be used toward qualifying approved work.

Scope changes

If new problems or requirements appear, Bench & Order pauses and discusses the change before expanding the work.

Data and recovery work

Data recovery and OCR are best-effort services. Results depend on media condition, source quality, and document condition.

Travel area

Published onsite prices include travel within the standard Frederick service area. Longer-distance work may include a travel charge disclosed in advance.

Prices are starting points and may change as services, costs, and scope evolve. The written estimate or service authorization for a specific job controls.

Next step

Not sure which service fits?

Describe the problem, the number of systems involved, and what a successful result would look like. Bench & Order will identify the appropriate starting point before work begins.
