Diagnostics and troubleshooting
Hardware and software assessment for Windows startup problems, performance issues, crashes, driver trouble, storage health, and temperature concerns, followed by clear recommendations.
Residential PC service
When a computer becomes slow, will not boot, or is just not trustworthy anymore, you should be able to call someone local who will explain the problem clearly. Bench & Order provides computer repair and Windows PC support by appointment, with onsite service, remote help, and bench work available depending on the job.
Home computers fail in ordinary ways. The goal is a clear diagnosis and a practical next step, not scare tactics or pressure to buy something you do not need.
Residential work stays focused on Windows PCs and the local technology that surrounds them. Published starting points are on the pricing page.

SSD upgrades, memory upgrades, storage replacement, cleanup, and component replacement when it makes sense, plus honest guidance on repair versus replacement.
Initial setup, updates, account configuration, file migration, browser and email setup, printer connection, basic privacy and backup settings, and removal of unnecessary preinstalled software when appropriate.
Backup planning, family photo and document migration, and external-drive organization. Recovery assessment is available when files are at risk. Damaged or failing storage may require specialized recovery, and results are never guaranteed.
Wi-Fi troubleshooting, router placement, access-point configuration, printer connectivity, home-office networking, and basic wired-network help.
Custom desktop planning, parts compatibility, gaming PCs, workstations, storage-heavy systems, AI-capable systems, upgrade paths, assembly, and setup.
Hands-on work at your home when the problem needs direct access to the computer, printer, or network equipment.
Screen-share assistance when the computer is working well enough for safe remote help.
Longer diagnostics, upgrades, builds, migrations, or testing that are better completed in a controlled workspace.
Available when appropriate and confirmed individually. Free pickup is not promised, and pickup is not available for every job.
The primary focus is Windows desktops and laptops. Defined Linux workstation projects may be considered. Phones, tablets, iPhones, iPads, gaming consoles, televisions, and broad appliance repair are not normal service categories. Apple computer support is outside the usual scope. Board-level microsoldering and advanced phone repair are not offered. Keeping that focus allows better depth on PCs, storage, upgrades, networking, and Windows problems.
Residential visits begin at the rate listed on the pricing page. Parts, extended bench work, data recovery, custom builds, and larger migration projects are priced separately when applicable.
